1. Information we collect
Account data: when you sign in with Google, Pitwall's server checks the sign-in with Google and keeps a Pitwall account tied to Google's anonymous account number for you. It does not store your email address on the server; your email and display name stay on your phone to show who is signed in.
Podium predictions and race ratings: the username you choose, your podium picks and your race ratings are stored on Pitwall's server against your Pitwall account (or, if you haven't signed in, a random install ID) to keep your score, history and place on the leaderboard. Other players only see your username and points.
Race reviews and live chat: reviews you write, their likes, the fans you @mention, reports and blocks are stored against your account and shown to other fans with your username. Live chat messages are kept in the server's memory only during the session and are never written to its database.
App rating: if you rate Pitwall, the stars and any note you add are stored against your account.
Notifications: to send you mention and race notifications, Pitwall keeps your device's Firebase Cloud Messaging token (or, on the website, your browser's push subscription).
App usage count: while the app is open it tells the server once a minute that a random install ID is active, with the app version. That shows how many people use Pitwall; it holds no name, email or device details.
Your IP address is used briefly to limit abuse (for example too many requests in a minute) and is not stored.
Diagnostics: Pitwall does not currently collect crash reports or device details from your phone. If that changes, this policy will say so first.
No location tracking: Pitwall does not use your device's location. Weather and rain alerts are for the circuit, not for where you are.
2. Subscriptions and payments
In the app, payments and subscriptions are handled by Google Play Billing. On the website they are handled by Razorpay. Pitwall never sees or stores your card or other payment details. To confirm a pass, Pitwall's server keeps the Google Play purchase token or the Razorpay payment and subscription IDs, and asks Google Play or Razorpay for its status.
3. Sharing and third parties
Pitwall does not sell, rent or trade your personal data. Data is shared only with Google (sign-in, Play purchase checks and Firebase notifications), Razorpay (website payments) and Pitwall's hosting providers that run the prediction and live-data servers.
Live timing, results and weather come from public sources (Formula 1 live timing, OpenF1, Jolpica and Open-Meteo). Pitwall sends them no personal data.
4. Your choices
You can sign out at any time in Settings. Delete account (Settings, Account) removes your Pitwall account and everything stored with it on Pitwall's server: username, picks, race and app ratings, reviews, mentions, likes, reports, blocks, notification tokens, promo codes redeemed and purchase links. A website subscription stops renewing. You can also email us with your username to have it deleted.
